Once again, I have no idea what to write. The weather gods were too kind with the temperature, so I walked up a steep path through the shady forest to the Tennenblick Inn. There, I was rewarded with a delicious goulash. I also visited the beautiful ski museum in Werfenweng and was given a private tour by the museum director because I donated about 15 rare ski lesson plans from 1892 to 1925. Since the Tauern Cycle Path between St. Johann i. P. and Schwarzach is unfortunately mostly gravel, the alternative route suitable for road bikes leads via Niederuntersberg along quiet side roads with excellent asphalt (and a few beautiful climbs/descents); the view repeatedly draws in the much lower Salzach Valley.

The Filialkirche Unser Liebe Frau (also known as Liebfrauenkirche or simply Frauenkirche) is a Catholic church in Bischofshofen, which was used as a "people's church" or parish church for the local population after the current parish church of St. Maximilian was temporarily used as a monastery church. Standing on a terrace just above the village, its origins can be traced back to the 10th/11th century.

The Cella Maximiliana is the predecessor of today's parish church in Bischofshofen, the mother settlement of the Innergebirg region. Built in 711/12, at the same time as the Nonnberg Monastery, the church acquired its present appearance in the mid-15th century. Today, it forms a single architectural unit with the town hall of Bischofshofen.

It dates back to the foundation of St. Arnold Jannsen, the founder of the Steyler Missionaries, in 1904. It was used as an emergency reserve hospital during the First World War. A neo-baroque church was added to the multi-winged building between the wars. It was used as a military hospital until 1945. The school was rebuilt in 1946.

In the village square in Bischofshofen, the bells ring softly, the benches sway. A leap from the air, a powerful hop, and then, whoosh, a ski jumper lands directly on the rotating face of the town clock. The mayor calls out: "No harm done, just laughter!" The neighbors applaud, the cows moo more loudly. A snowflake lands on the priest's hat, and the streetlights glow like little lantern gardens. The village children clap, the dogs bark happily, the ski jumper grins: "That's quite a landing report, honest." Between the bakery, the post office, and the Gasthaus zur Tracht (Tracht Inn), this jump becomes legendary—fun over beer and snacks. When winter comes, it really tastes like snow, but the village square says seriously: "You won't stay here in pain!" Because in Bischofshofen, the voices like to say in unison: Jump yes – but please only where the mayor lives, in the town!

Hohenwerfen Castle is a highlight on the route to Werfen.
