A beautiful historical building

The vicarage was established around 1200 and the parish has existed since around 1600. The church stands on a hill and can be seen from afar. It is dedicated to St. Sebastian.

The castle has been in the possession of the Liechtenstein family since 1436 and is used to administer the princely estates in Lower Austria.

The parish church is dedicated to St. Sebastian. In 1718 the Gothic Sebastian Chapel burned down and was rebuilt. Where exactly this chapel was located is uncertain. However, it was probably a component of the old church. In 1719 the church suffered severe damage again due to rainfall. In 1781 the Sebastian Chapel had to be demolished because it was in a state of disrepair. It was rebuilt between 1782 and 1789.
