Great to get off of the main roads but watch out for pot holes and rough road surfaces. This road certainly needs resurfacing/fixing in places.

8月 29, 2023, St Vincent's Church, Ashington
The Church of St. Vincent, a petite structure with origins dating back to 1189-1280, displays charming Hamstone accents and is crowned by a clay tile roof. Its walls are constructed from lias rubble. Remarkably, the church doesn't possess a tower; rather, it boasts an uncommon 'lantern' bellcote, thought to have been appended in the late 15th or early 16th century. In 1878, the church underwent a restoration process.

7月 17, 2022, View of Cadbury Castle from Stonehill Lane
Great views from Stonehill lane near Sutton Montis. The road tops out at 103m above sea level between Cadbury Castle to the north and Parrock hill to the south. Great views up towards the old hill fort. Both hills can be climbed on foot for even better views but they aren't road bike friendly.

After a low-flying helicopter, I kept staring upwards at all the planes buzzing around. The highlight, for me, was seeing a Hawk come in to land and power down.

This pretty 12th-century church is nestled amid trees on the outskirts of Charlton Horethorne. Whilst the church underwent major restoration during the Victorian era, there are still original features to observe. Alongside the pulpit, you can see the remains of a 4th-century Roman incense altar, which was discovered in the churchyard. The church is Grade II-listed.
