Nynehead Hollow is a super cool landmark on the outskirts of Nynehead Village. The road has literally been roughly carved through solid rock, with high walls and trees growing above.

Just outside Cullompton… lots of parking and seating inside, you can bring your bike in for extra security🚴🏽‍♂️🚴🏽‍♂️🚴🏽‍♂️🚴🏽‍♂️

Great friendly cafe. Fantastic coffee. Hunters toastie highly recommend. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating

St Mary’s church Hemyock appeared on the show”Blind Date” in 2008 The church can be traced back to 1120 and Hemyock castle adjacent was a focal point of clashes during the civil war fought between Cromwell and his parliamentarians (Roundheads) and the the royalists under the King Charles 1.

This is a great little store/coffee shop on Culmstock. In recent years it has added a brand new coffee machine and the taste and aroma is wonderful. The food is also excellent….so if passing do check out, you won’t be disappointed 😀

Nynehead Hollow is a scenic lane forming part of NCN 3. It's an impressive road that has been roughly carved through solid rock, with high walls and trees growing above. The “Hollow” was said to be dug out by the Sandford family in the hope of making Nynehead Court quicker to get to from the servant houses which were situated in East Nynehead.

Hemyock is the largest village within the Blackdown Hills Area of Natural Beauty in Somerset. The village features a number of fascinating historic buildings, including a medieval castle, an Elizabethan chapel, a church that dates back to Norman times, and a pub that's been established since 1740!

Managed by the SW Lakes Trust Wimbleball Lake is a 530 acre site. The lake is water supply reservoir dammed and completed in 1979. It's been host to the UK half Ironman. Bessom Bridge is a fairly modern bridge carrying the road over the northern end of the reservoir.

Hemyock, on the River Culm, is the largest village in the Blackdown Hills AONB. A settlement can be traced here right back to 100BC and it has a history of iron smelting. Here you can find a Norman Church, St Mary's, and a Medieval Castle from the 14th century. There is also a small shop and a pub if you need supplies.

This bridge crosses the River Culm just west of Hemyock in the Blackdown Hills AONB. The River Culm is the longest tributary of the River Exe and meanders from its source near RAF Culmhead to Uffculme in the Blackdown Hills.
