Hot spot for cyclists refuelling!

Hanningfield Reservoir is celebrated for its significant wildfowl populations and serves as a sanctuary for nature and wildlife. You can enjoy lovely views of Hanningfield Reservoir from this road on the south side. The reservoir is framed by beautiful woodlands and meadows, making it a favourite spot for walkers in the Essex area.

From Swan Lane, past Martin's Farm (Alpacas!) there is a well cleared bridleway (watchout for tree cuttings!) gated section in the middle (magnetic catches, just push to open) and across the River Wid at Hope's Bridge eventually arriving on Maldon Road.
