The Dobratsch or Villacher Alpe (Slovene: Dobrač or Beljaščica) is a 2,166 m above sea level mountain range in Carinthia. It forms the eastern foothills of the Gailtal Alps and is located immediately west of the city of Villach.[1] The Dobratsch area has been protected as a nature park since 2002.[2] As a model region for sustainable development, the focus from the outset has been on a four-pillar model with the themes of protection, education, recreation, and regional development.
