The Dobratsch or Villacher Alpe (Slovenian Dobrač or Beljaščica) is a mountain at 2166 m above sea level. A. high mountain range in Carinthia. It forms the eastern foothills of the Gailtal Alps and is located immediately west of the city of Villach. The Dobratsch area has been protected as a nature park since 2002. As a model region for sustainable development, a four-pillar model with the topics of protection, education, recreation and regional development has been relied upon right from the start. At the end of 2021, the topic of research will be added as a fifth pillar for the further development of Nature Park Z. The Dobratsch Nature Park covers an area of around 8,200 hectares.

Dive into the underground wonderland on the 68 m long miner's slide (longest in Europe). Seven mines with fascinating multimedia shows about the creation of the earth, the realm of the underworld, the miraculous Paracelsus and an original replica of a water wheel carrier from 1831 let you experience the world underground up close. The final mine train ride, 800 m back to the shaft lift, makes a visit to the wonder world in the mountain a unique experience.
