Nice smooth cycle way from Nailsea to Bristol. NCR 33

Flat whites and flat tops. Simple little corner café and barber 💈 serving Extract Coffee from Bristol. Very handy and welcoming little stop to build into your ride if you're out this way 🙏🏽

The floating harbour was opened in 1809. This revolutionised Bristols harbour, trapping waters of the tidal river and allowing boast to remain afloat. Two sets of locks control the water level in the harbour. The commercial use of the harbour stopped in 1975, since then it has transformed into the vibrant leisure area you see today.

CLUE: Look for a sign!

Take your climbing legs along if you’ve got some weight on you 😊

Take the climb up the back of Portbury or Caswell hill and enjoy the descent down as a reward. As a climb it's got a sort of alpine feel, and while it's never really steep it does go on a bit. Due to the traffic I much prefer this as a descent, In a similar vein to Brockley Combe but that's overall a nicer climb.

Smooth tarmac, field views along the railway, no cars!

For best results, catch it at Golden Hour!

Look out for the long right bend - make sure you brake beforehand!

For walkers: this road is too dangerous to walk up by foot. Take a detour through the woods to the east instead

Awesome views towards Bristol and smooth, sinuous tarmac—what’s not to love? Up or down, it’s a treat (different flavours, of course).

One of the nicest climbs around Bristol and normally not too busy!

As a cyclist and driver I cannot recommend for bikes - too much impact for motor traffic whether descending or ascending

Small but perfectly formed cafe with good food.

This is part of the sustrans route from Nailsea to Long Ashton. Very wide nice bike path but popular with all users so take care of others
