Downs Link days

Southwater Country Park was formed after the closure of the brickworks and quarry in 1981. The area is now a thriving wildlife and leisure area with woodland, grasslands and a lake. There are children's playgrounds, a beach for paddling, watersports, fishing, bike trails and a café.

Good place for a bit of cake on the Downs Link.

Wonderful dinosaur themed park that is along the cycle route and trackway way, sells hot food and ice cream so well worth taking a break here.

Did this in April. The lumber scattered each side of the track are being fell because of Ash Die Back.

Beautiful church, well worth a visit if you’re doing the SDW

St. Botolph's Church, with its charming flint construction overlooks the River Adur. Now surrounded by only a few houses, it's hard to believe that seven centuries ago, this spot thrived as the focal point of a vibrant port and a crucial crossing point for the river. Don't miss the horse-box trailer pop-up cafe at weekends serving hot drinks and cake.
