A wonderful running route along the canal with pretty houseboats, there is almost always rowing on the canal 😃

Beware on the cyclepath alongside the canal. You meet quite big groups of pedestrians, and dog walkers too. Some aren't very pleased to share with cyclists, so be friendly.

One of the earliest Christian sites in Britain, Dorchester Abbey stands on the site of a 7th century Saxon cathedral. Nice little lung opener first thing in morning. Entry to wooded area was permitted, has a few dens inside and plenty of benches externally, views to take in are beautiful. on a clear day can see for miles
