Running along the Dreisam river is a great option – especially through the city, it's an easy and pleasant route. The path on the north side is recommended for running, while the FR1 cycle path on the south bank is very busy with cyclists and the asphalt surface isn't particularly runner-friendly anyway.

However, you should be a little cautious about speeding, especially on weekends the path is often very busy - not only by cyclists, but also inline skaters, walkers with/without dogs, joggers etc. enjoy the smooth asphalt.

The Martinstor is a well-preserved city gate of the former city fortifications. Originally there were 5 gates. In addition to the Martinstor, there is also the Schwabentor. Both are wonderful photo subjects!
