The Jordan Trail leads you through a scenic gorge with stunning rock formations. Even a small stream might be running along the trail.

A paved road meanders through the landscape and leads to stunning views of the Dead Sea in the distance. The Jordan Trail crosses the road so that it is a good point to get on or off the trail.

As-Salt is a historic city known for its Ottoman architecture and narrow, winding streets. Once the commercial center of the region, the city offers fascinating insights into the country's cultural heritage and history. Here you will find a few accommodations, restaurants and an ATM. If you have some time, it is worth visiting the Archaeological Museum.

There is a small shop with snacks and drinks in the village of Rmeimeen. Treat yourself to some falafel sandwiches! If you want to spend the night, ask for the homestay in town.

The 'Diakonikon Baptistery' was a sacristy on the south side of a burial chapel on Mount Nebo. Access from the chapel was via a staircase, as the sacristy was one meter lower. Around 530 AD the 'Memorial Church of Moses' was expanded into a basilica. End of the 6th or beginning of the 7th century. The sacristy and the burial chapel were demolished, the floor was raised and the mosaics were buried. Mount Nebo (Siyagha) is a holy place for Christians, Jews and Muslims because it is believed that the Prophet Moses saw the Promised Land here as described in the Old Testament and the Torah. The summit of Siyagha is 700 m above the Jordan Valley, overlooking the northeastern part of the Dead Sea. Today there is a memorial, a Franciscan monastery and an archaeological site on the mountain. Visitors from all over the world come because of the historical and religious significance of the place, but also because of the ancient architectural evidence and the Byzantine mosaics that are preserved and displayed here.

Mount Nebo with a height of 808 m offers a view of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Israel.
