Must see viaduct just amazing

Very impressive viaduct. You arrive there when you pass into Rutland area.

Lovely ride all year round - puddles get bigger in winter, but no problem to ride!

When King Edward I’s beloved first wife, Eleanor of Castile, died in 1290, he spent three days in intense mourning, unable to leave the Nottinghamshire village of Harby where she died. He then led her funeral procession, journeying some 200 miles to London over many days. To commemorate Eleanor, Edward commissioned three tombs and had 12 stone crosses built to mark each place where her body rested overnight on its final journey. Shes a beaut of a stop off, lovely downhill under neath this into Harringworth

Spectacular structure striding across the valley of the River Welland. Best viewed from the high ground on the Seaton road.

Welland Viaduct is a famous local landmark and a striking structure. You can see the many arches from miles in all directions, always a great backdrop for a photograph.

A lovely 102-acre (41 ha) country park, East Carlton is located near the town of Corby. It was once a deer park centred around a historic hall. The present iteration was built in 1870 in an Italianate style with French pavilion roofs. Today, the park contains beautiful woodland, small lakes, a dinosaur safari, a campsite, heritage centre and a cafe.

Also some nice views of the gravel road as it undulates into the distance

One of the more spectacular of the surviving Eleanor crosses. A good challenge is to ride the route of all the crosses from Lincoln to London. I and others did it raising money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Lovely place for a picnic, but be aware that most of the routes out involve some serious climbing for this part of the world. Like Norfolk, not all Rutland is as flat as many think.

Floods easily in winter at Harringworth, beautiful views all year round!

Great views from most of the way round. Don’t try and ride up to the reservoir from the south side (between Caldecott and Great Easton) or you’ll get very told off for trespassing at the reservoir wall!

Great gravel road, feels likely you're fully in the middle of nowhere!

Great riding south of A47 and East of Uppingham. Great views of the viaduct from Seaton Village up the hill.

Quieter than nearby Rutland water. Couple of steep climbs to get back out of the reservoir.
