Small shop but has everything you could want. £1 card limit is a godsend when you forget to buy water. Believe there is an instant coffee machine if you need a warm up but plenty of sugar on sale!

Warning! If you plot a route from Beckhingham across to Bar Road, Komoot will default you onto the cycle path that starts in the central reservation twenty metres down the dual carriageway back into Gainsborough, causing you to either go back round ten miles or jump off the carriageway at speed. Not safe and not clever. Sort this nonsense out, Komoot.

Blyton Ice Creams are a family-run business and at the last count were offering over 70 different flavours from their ice-cream parlour. How many can you try in one sitting?

Laughton Forest is a plantation that was created in the 1920's. It supports a diverse range of wildlife today.

I did not find this place, but there is a lovely cake shop called Taran's nut free kitchen in the same location which has delicious home made cakes.

Part of the ride is along the banks of the River Trent. Quiet roads and peaceful.

Gainsborough Town is full of history and definitely worth stopping off at if you have the time. More info about the town: https://www.discovergainsborough.com/visit/ We didn't see the town on this trip and didn't want to go into the town centre so The Trent Port was a great lunch stop for us. Right on our route and food ok. And if like us you find you have a flat tyre, there is plenty of room to fix it.

The church is a Grade II listed building dating from the 12th century, although virtually rebuild in the late 19th century. Only a blocked Norman doorway in the south wall hints at its Norman origins. The two is thought to be around 14th century. Willingham by Stow is mentioned in the Domesday Book.
