Having crossed the B1225 prehistoric and later route along the Western edge of the Wolds https://heritage-explorer.lincolnshire.gov.uk/Monument/MLI99396 there are great views from the Sixhills Lane. Don't miss the village Church and the stella descent down onto the flatlands that follows.

Former RAF airbase, still in use for light aircraft. Museum on site and cafe. Nice place to stop for tea and cake and escape the wind if it's blowing.

Sixhills is on the western fringe of the Lincolnshire Wolds. From the church the view north is along the western edge of the Wolds. Lincoln Cathedral is seen to the west.

Very nice and modern cafe with a decent menu. Amazing views of the airfield. A couple of memorials dotted around connected to the sites links to bomber command in WW2.
