From the direction we came from (railway path) there's a steep hill to get over, especially when fully laden, but the coffee and food is worth it. There's also a Co-op shop over the road for snacks!

This attractive Northamptonshire village lies on the route of the Jurassic Way long-distance footpath and is an important stop off just above Watford Gap. There are a number of amenities for walkers, including three pubs, one of which has rooms for the night. There are also bed and breakfast options and a grocery store.

Great views! This is usually a quiet road, some fast traffic, usually conscientious though.

There is a cafe, public toilets and bike shop providing bike hire at the top of the main carpark, with open grassed areas (perfect for picnics) leading down to a childrens play area and then the main walking/cycle path around the water. To the left of the grass beside the other footpath is an accessible garden with raised beds.

Good coffee and excellent selection of cakes and savoury bits. Currently only take away available (COVID19).

Nice ride along the causeway

For a sharp short burst in the Northampton hills; Hannah Hill will get that heart rate up! Almost never any cars and a beautiful tree lined climb and really fun little sting to any ride. The gradient peaks at 17.5%.

This is a great place to eat and recharge. They do fabulous lunches and cakes. If you arrive on bikes as you enter place your bikes on the left hand side - you can tuck them behind the hedge.
