Gunwade Lake at Ferry Meadows is a fantastic spot for a flat and scenic run. If you're a runner, I highly recommend checking it out! The path is wide and well-maintained, and you'll often see lots of other runners and walkers, making it a really friendly and motivating place to be. Just remember its a country park, chill out and relax, ride slowly, - even though you may be on a highly geared all terrain bike, or you're slicked up ready for a world class time trial - its still just a country park. No Strava sections here, just other people on bikes, little kids on bikes, older people on bikes, people with dogs ...on bikes... you get me...

Don’t do this on a road bike unless you want a puncture.

Country pub with stone walls, modern decor and a stylish garden terrace, plus a gastropub menu. Plenty of room for bikes, serves tea and coffee, excellent Sunday lunches. Toilets immaculate and staff friendly and helpful. Closed Monday and Tuesday from 1730 Wed Thurs Fri. 1200 Sat and Sunday. Well worth a stop.

The Nene Valley Railway runs alongside The Nene from Yarwell and Wansford to Peterborough.
