Great cafe, cakes, coffee, pots of tea and bacon rolls. Run by Mark and his team all vert friendly and helpful. Very clean toilets and plenty of room for bikes. Dog friendly for walkers with dogs. Highly recommended

It is really a pittoresque bridge, rather narrow and with beautiful views above the water. Cyclists and pedestrians encounter here, so take care of each other. It's a place to enjoy, there are others to drive fast.

A nice town at the end of the guided bus lane from and to Cambridge. The small town is charming and also the surroundings are beautiful.

A well stocked shop and pub which is the perfect place for a cycle pitstop. No worries about queues, locking up bike etc.... Bench seating outside the pub with some shade from the trees. Minimal detour even if you're on the lap of the reservoir

Good section to ride

Quaint bridge with no cars but lots of pedestrians so be courteous.

Excellent shared path. Be courteous riders and give way to walkers. Add to your route and you will enjoy.

This is great cycle path. Next time I would start from St Ives and head to Cambridge.

Beautiful church. And a great bicycle lane beside the bus rail. When I rode past this church there was the Easter Sunday service and I could hear the people chant and sing. This was very special to me.

A lovely little town, with plenty of coffee shops and food places. Lots of shops for Resupply.

The cycle path along the top of the dam is wide and flat and gives great views across the reservoir. Reach it from the Visitor Centre at the northern end although access at the southern end is trickier as you have to squeeze through a narrow gap next to a locked gate by the main road.

Pub-in-a-shed. There’s a community-run village shop next to it.

Not very visible from the road, hidden behind a tall brick wall. You can peep through the old gateway or else from the driveway at the far left of the wall.
