Useful and quiet but a bit boring once the novelty of riding alongside the A1 has worn off.

Plenty of cafes nearby

No potholes but the surface is chipped rather than smooth blacktop so a bit rough. Wide, straight, no junctions and with relatively little traffic though so it’s a good location for intervals or pace lines.

If your planning to take a short brake on your tour then this is the perfect spot, you might be greated by a swan or even a sea lion. Scenic bridge providing a quiet route over the Welland into Deeping.

Very nice area for walking, cycling and all sorts of outdoor activities, but it might get flooded in the winter and sometimes spring as well so check the water levels right before you leave, I would avoid it when 2.00 or more. check-for-flooding.service.gov.uk/station/6286

Bakery just across the road who sell nice pasties, tea and coffee. Pub on the other corner with toilets and good beer. Worth a rest stop. Busy little village and cross roads.

There are 2 pubs near the bridge and a couple of cafes in village centre within 1/4 mile. Get a coffee and sit by the river for a good rest stop.
