Big windows make for excellent bike visibility, and being slightly out of Hathersage means it's often much quieter too. Plenty of seating inside, good coffee, wonderful cakes!

Park at the edge of the village (limited spots), wear comfy shoes for the quiet lanes, and time your visit for late August if you can catch the colorful well dressings festival

Nice pub to site outside, but inside is more of a restaurant atmosphere

Can be busy, and only the central aisle is tarmac, the verges are thick gravel which isn't ideal for cycling on.

Great place to stop for coffee

Great views over the White Peaks, it's not too tough a climb either.

Went for a Bakewell tart but also tried the Bakewell pudding, it was amazing. It's a great shop.
