Lovely town centre with a lot going on

Lovely woodland flank the road. Many country lanes to explore around here.

Just to confirm what Ian said above - don't get caught out! Same friendly service, just a new location. Very satisfied with a recent comprehensive service (approaching a refurbishment!) of my gravel bike. Runs like new again.

Nantwich (/ˈnæntwɪtʃ/ NAN-twitch) is a market town. It has among the highest concentrations of listed buildings in England, with notably good examples of Tudor and Georgian architecture. It had a population of 14,045 in 2021 Amazing building its a beautiful place to visit.

Beeston Castle is a former Royal castle in Beeston, Cheshire, England, perched on a rocky sandstone crag 350 feet above the Cheshire Plain. It was built in the 1220s by Ranulf de Blondeville, 6th Earl of Chester, on his return from the Crusades.

The Nantwich Aqueduct, a Grade II listed bridge, stands as a testament to the vision of Thomas Telford, its construction being finalized in 1828. This aqueduct gracefully bears the weight of the Shropshire Union Canal, serving as the remarkable 'Gateway to Nantwich.' In 2015, restoration efforts were undertaken. This ambitious endeavour, secured victory in the restoration and historic environment category of the prestigious Canal & River Trust's Living Waterways Awards in 2016.

Nantwich is a hidden gem with lots of old Tudor and Georgian buildings and cafes to stop at, plus lots of roads around the town have been freshly tarmacked.

Flowing roads through what feels like an Alpine forest. Tarmac isn't the best in places but nothing to massively complain about, well worth putting up with for the views and fresh air

nice view to the surrounding area. the route to the castle not suitable for a road bike, you may need to carry your bike on some parts

Nice bit of straight road with decent surface. With a good wind you can get some good speed up. Forest views on either side.

English Heritage maintained castle ruins sitting high on top of the hill. Like so much in the area it was destroyed in the Civil War.

I think this might be the old location and they have moved. However the coffee and cakes were always good and presumably still are.

Great place to stop for coffee ☕ and cake 🎂 The bike store is fab and the owners take the time to chat about bikes and stuff if you're interested. Will be considering the Hope disc calipers for an upgrade!

A shop run by cyclists for cyclists. Excellent advise and fabulous knowledge on all things cycling. Great coffee and cake too!

My local Bike and Coffee shop. Excellent on all counts. For me the cherry Bakewell is the winning cake. Proper organic single origin coffee. I have bought 2 bikes from Chris & Mike and upgraded/serviced the whole family's bikes here too.

Beeston Castle is a magnificent 11th-century former stronghold that once belonged to Henry III. Built in the 1220s by Ranulf de Blondeville, the castle was partly destroyed under Cromwell in the mid-16th century. From the castle, you can see across eight counties; as far as the Welsh mountains in the east and the Pennines to the west. Today, the castle is open on weekends from 10am - 4pm. Entrance costs £8 for adults.
