The road is pleasant to drive, the asphalt is good, and the route is beautiful. There's little traffic, so you can enjoy the route in peace.

The Lower Gate, also known as the Bridge Gate, bears the city's coat of arms, awarded in 1614, above the archway. The gate was frequently and severely damaged, not only during the Margrave War, but also during the Thirty Years' War. In 1689, the city received a reprimand from the Margrave because priority was given to rebuilding the city fortifications and the Lower Gate before granting permission for the requested church renovation. In 1792, the old Fronveste (soldiers' prison) was rebuilt. In 1808, when the court was relocated to Heilsbronn, some of its rooms also served as the gatekeeper's quarters. Until 1935, the gate housed the police station. Other parts were already privately owned. In 1960, an additional passageway was built on the house next to the gate for pedestrian safety.
