Can get a little busy with pedestrians and other cyclists, but the views across the River Dee Estuary and the birdlife are great.

There are many choices to be made here . It's a pleasant spot to drop onto the Shropshire Union Canal Towpath to go to either Chester or Ellesmere Port Basin & the National Waterways Museum. Or continue up the hill to Chester Zoo . In the opposite direction is either Chorlton up the badly resurfaced Chorlton Lane on the left (from the bridge) or straight on (again in the opposite direction to the Zoo) to Crowton & Stoak. Stoak has the Bunbury Arms at its heart, well worth stopping for a bite to eat😋👍

Would recommend heading from Wales into England at sunset. Riding into the setting sun in such a tranquil spot

"An Inn called the "Beer House" was shown here on a map of 1686, though its origin was probably much earlier. At times it was also known as the Ferry House, and the Pengwern Arms, before it was demolished around 1885, following severe storm damage a few years earlier. The present structure (built in 1926) began as the Boathouse Café at a time when the nearby baths were flourishing.  It is now a pub/restaurant, having been progressively modified and enlarged over the years; the modern conservatory dining area enables patrons to watch the wildlife on the marshes while they enjoy their meals in comfort." Parkgate is a beautiful place to visit and is very popular with cyclists. lovely views over to Wales quite in the morning but can get busy in the summer. They have wonderful pubs, and it's not far from the Wirral way that a lot of cyclists use.

Willaston is a large village situated on the Wirral Peninsula, in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester, Cheshire, England. Centred on a village green, it is located between Neston and Ellesmere Port, less than a mile south of the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral boundary.

Burton Village is in Neston which has a stop as part of the Liverpool Chester Liverpool bike ride. Its a beautiful village with wonderful views

Wirral way is a beautiful green space beautiful trees and wildlife but can get quite muddy in winter months

Parkgate is a village on the Wirral Peninsula in Cheshire, England, on the banks of the River Dee, adjoining 100 square kilometres of salt marsh. At the 2011 Census, it had a population of 3,591. The village is in Neston civil parish, north-west of the town of Neston and almost contiguous with it. Great cycling path also keep an eye out for the Ice-cream shop.

Impressive large golden coloured gate (in an area of large and impressive houses!) along Well Lane. If you're going down hill along this road it might be easy to miss as you're likely to be enjoying the descent down towards the Wirral Way path.

This is an affluent area on The Wirral. These gates are about 14ft tall. They are an interesting sight and worthy of stopping and taking a photo.

This is a location which looks over a flat plain into North Wales. Many walkers seem to be exercising along the pathways here. There are bars and cafes along the straight road

A great way to traverse to the north of Chester. About 13km of traffic free with just a few well-behaved pedestrians and dog walkers to avoid. the Greenway is fully tarmaced although in places it is breaking up and in autumn there are a lot of leaves and a bit of mud so some care is required. Make sure you have a bell to warn other users and slow down.

Do not ride with thin tires, if they have just cut the hedge you will 100% get a flat.

Cool iron bridge on the Chester Millennium Greenway and the best way to get over the A494 dual carrageway.
