Tatton Park

Today, you can visit the estate all year round. Check the website if there are any events as the estate holds hundreds of events annually including the Royal Horticultural Society flower show.
The parkland is open from 10am - 7pm. Entrance costs £7 per adult. You can find more information, here: tattonpark.org.uk

The lake is a great place to watch wildlife. Ducks, gulls, woodpeckers and owls are often found around the water. You may also spot a more unusual being: Rostherne Mere is said to be home to a mermaid who can be heard ringing a sunken bell beneath the water.

Also pass Tatton Park on the charity ride Manchester 100. It can get very busy around the park with cars looking for a parking space. They refuse to give you any room. So take extra care.

Tatton Hall was built in 1716 with improvements made in the early 1800s and again in the late 1800s. The centrepiece of Tatton Park, the house is owned by the National Trust but looked after and managed by Cheshire County Council.
