Very impressive Normal cathedral, constructed from imported Normandy limestone.

One of the local chain found in many of Norfolk and Suffolk's most popular tourist towns. Unfortunately there's no bike parking so not a good choice for a group: maybe just get a takeaway.

Unpaved paths mean its not easily accessible on a road bike; a better location for the gravel riders.

Has a car park which you can park all day for £2.3 (credit card or App only). All has Hetty’s House Tea Room, public toilets. As well as a number of woodland walks.

Norwich Castle is undergoing major works to restore the floors to their original level of the 12th century so future visitors can truly appreciate what life in the castle was like when it was built. It is still possible to appreciate the royal Norman fortress from the outside.

Norwich Cathedral is over 900 years old with the second tallest spire in England, measuring in at 96m (the tallest is Salisbury). It is mostly a Norman building with some restoration work taking place in the 13th century after it was damaged during riots.

Taking the Drayton Lane cycle path that runs parallel to New Drayton Lane gives you an alternative to navigating the 3-lane roundabout at the Broadland Northway junction.

Apart from the mill house, the only part of the old site left is the former drying house, which has been converted into a garage.

Norwich Cathedral dates back to 1096. It is built from cream-coloured limestone, and took over 50 years to complete. If you have time to visit inside, a 17-metre (56 ft) high helter-skelter has been constructed inside the cathedral, to give a better vantage point for viewing the roof bosses, and a fun way down.

Norwich Castle comprises the castle, a museum and art gallery. The castle site is at least 900 years old but may currently be closed due to redevelopment. The large gallery complex converted from the city’s Victorian prison remains open during the works. It houses collections in archaeology, natural history, regimental history, and fine, decorative and contemporary art. Construction work has begun on the Norwich Castle: Royal Palace Reborn project to transform the medieval castle. Because of the building work and health and safety measures to protect visitors and staff, some areas of the castle site are not open.

Lyng mill was built as a flour mill in the early 1400s but over the centuries it was operated as both a flour mill and a paper mill.

Good place to stop and see the planes with kids, time it right and you get to see some take off.

Constructed under the orders of William the Conqueror after the Norman invasion, Norwich Castle is a striking medieval fortification in the city centre. Since 1894, the castle has housed the Norwich Museum and Art Gallery. It holds significant artworks, archaeological finds and objects that reveal the region's diverse history.

Fast flowing downhill segment, lots of fun, can really get hammer down.

A few off road routes here good for family, go out on to Holt Lowes for some extra adventure, but beware of the free roaming cattle grazing out there.
