Winding route through the valley past old mills which are now an industrial park. The road has speed bumps through the mill complex

June 2025 - they've covered the road with chip and seal which is very loose and has formed mounds in places. It's not too bad going up but wouldn't recommend a descent.

very photogenic bridge

The bridge was the original approach to Clumber Park prior to the development of the famous lime tree avenue. It dates from the 18th Century and crosses an ornamental lake that was created by the damming of the River Poulter.
