The bridge was the original approach to Clumber Park prior to the development of the famous lime tree avenue. It dates from the 18th Century and crosses an ornamental lake that was created by the damming of the River Poulter.

Beautiful park full of woodland trails and a serpentine lake, lots to see and explore with a historical chapel and ornamental bridge, cycle hire available too in the park.

Beautiful, cyclist friendly cafe! Larger than most cafes in the peaks, but still fairly small. Excellent savoury and sweet food, and of course, coffee 👌🏻

A lovely cafe! Friendly to cyclists, not huge inside but more spacious that most Peak District cafes. Excellent cobs and cakes 😋

Ogston Reservoir was built to supply water to a carbonisation plant. It's now a water supply reservoir, which also helps maintain the levels at Carsington Reservoir. Ogston New Road skirts the reservoir, visiting the old village of Woolley, which was partly flooded by the reservoirs' creation. Woolly Moor to the north was created to rehome the inhabitants of the lower areas of Woolly.

St Peter & St Paul's Church dates from the 12th century and is grade 1 listed. It's a serving Church of England church in the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham.

A lovely cafe with great views across the valley. Breakfast, lunch homemade cakes and ice cream, well worth a stop and staff very friendly

The Minster is spectacular

And watch out for the manhole covers set in pairs after the bend. Pick your line carefully.

Lovely bit of climbing from the bottom of the Derwent Valley rewarded with splendid views. A steep, gloomy start opens out into a section of reduced incline that then goes on... and on...
