ヘッセンタールにある聖マリア被昇天巡礼教会は、非常に注目すべき建築アンサンブルです。ゴシック様式の2つの建造物である恩寵の礼拝堂と古い巡礼教会は、一見すると美しいです。 1954年築の新しい巡礼教会はむしろやや質素ですが、ティルマン・リーメンシュナイダー作の「キリストの哀悼」とハンス・バッコフェン作の「磔刑群像」という並外れた芸術作品が収められています。

素晴らしい登り/下りです。勾配は最大8%で穏やかな範囲に収まっており、アスファルトもまあまあ走行しやすいです。夏場は、木々の葉からの木漏れ日が作り出す木陰に注意が必要です。それ以外では、時折アスファルトの小さな穴や、舗装のひび割れ/縦継ぎ目を見落とす可能性があります。

The spring at the castle was probably once a meeting place for hunters in the eastern Spessart, which is why construction of a hunting lodge began here in 1342.
