If you've joined the trail from the steep ascent up Curbar Edge, it's now a much gentler climb to reach Froggatt Edge. An opportunity to restore some strength and enjoy the views.

Great view point

Grindleford Community Shop is worth a visit for local produce but also a cuppa and cake post-hike. The community members who run it are always friendly and have all in inside knowledge of the area. It's in the grounds of the church.

Very sandy soil. Made for lots of grit in the drivetrain.

Keep to the edge of the ridge.if you use the path you may miss it

In the vestry of St Helen’s church it sells artisan bread from Welbeck bakery as well as a range of local products. Tea, coffee and locally baked cakes are also available.

Quaint village shop in the church grounds that do tea, coffee, cake etc. Very nice and relaxed seating in the church grounds and set well back from the road. A nice retreat from the sun on a hot day too.
