ヴァルトカペルのおすすめツーリングルート

Built in 1612 under Landgrave Moritz I and burned down in October 1923, the former Herrenmühle (a mill for men) is now a hydroelectric power plant and is family-owned. The lock and weir also date back to the time when the Fulda River was developed into a shipping route between Kassel and Bad Hersfeld under Moritz I. Unfortunately, the lock is no longer operational, unlike the ones further downstream.

This beautiful property is an old manor house dating back to 1446. It is now a cultural monument.

We love the cycle path that runs along here from Witzenhausen to Walburg, then along the Wehre River via Waldkappel towards Eschwege/Niederhone, Bad Sooden-Allendorf, and back to Witzenhausen. The Hercules-Wartburg Cycle Route runs through Bischhausen. The town itself is also beautiful! You can see the church tower from far away!

Here the weirs and the Sontra join together and flow together as weirs.

This house is a real highlight! I drove past it and it just looked amazing!
