when I walked the path found the Nene Way way footpath overground with nettles and weeds making the trek less pleasant, did see nesting swans with signets on the river bank.

One of the best cafes in the area by far, great food / service. Can’t say I’ve had a bad time here in MANY trips !

I parked in the small parking area by the bridge near Hardwater Mill (free) but having walked along the road I would suggest avoiding this section. It would be better to start from the Summer Leys Nature reserve car park (paid) or the very small parking area in Mary's Lane (free) where it crosses the disused railway line.

Lovely old packhorse bridge not far from Cogenhoe Mill Caravan Park, located on the bridleway/access track between Cogenhoe Mill and Ecton Lane. Nice place to stop for a refresher/breather on your travels

A great spot to check out the local waterbird life. Expect to find the likes of Canada Goose, Ring-necked Pheasant and Great Crested Grebe

A pumphouse converted cafe with a lovely picnic area which makes for a great spot to grab a refreshment.

No cycling around reservoir

Went this way this morning the last single track path is over grown wouldn't recommend at the moment.

Someone has thoughtfully left a seat here - handy for lunch stop - it's actually further along the bridleway at the junction where it turns toward Harold.

The Nene Way runs along the River Nene. Really worth seeing!

Open Weds-Sun 10-1500. Great cafe with freshly made food and lovely coffee. Bike friendly and very hospitable in general.

This is one of those awkward spots. You come flying down the hill, round a blind corner see a bridge that you need to bunny-hop onto and then, before you know it, you realise there is a really steep exit and you need to get into Granny-cog really quick. I couldn't process all this fast enough and completely Fived it. Hope you have better luck!

Once or twice per year steam trains pass over this viaduct including the flying Scotsman. It is on the st Pancras line.
