"An Inn called the "Beer House" was shown here on a map of 1686, though its origin was probably much earlier. At times it was also known as the Ferry House, and the Pengwern Arms, before it was demolished around 1885, following severe storm damage a few years earlier. The present structure (built in 1926) began as the Boathouse Café at a time when the nearby baths were flourishing.  It is now a pub/restaurant, having been progressively modified and enlarged over the years; the modern conservatory dining area enables patrons to watch the wildlife on the marshes while they enjoy their meals in comfort." Very small little promenade on the West Bank it's a quite little place that looks to the Jubilee Bridge above you. They do have a great pub which gets busy. But it's well worth the stop.

Only past it on a ride. I have not seen many good reviews about this place. I think the Childe of Hale, which is just around the corner, is much better.

Parkgate is a beautiful place to visit and is very popular with cyclists. lovely views over to Wales quite in the morning but can get busy in the summer. They have wonderful pubs, and it's not far from the Wirral way that a lot of cyclists use.

The Mersey flows 70.33 miles (113 km) from Stockport to Liverpool Bay. Great pathway along the Mersey for walkers or Cyclist, you can walk all the way to Otterspool which has an amazing green space.

West Tower was built by The Beetham Organisation and was their second tower development in Liverpool after Beetham Tower close by on Old Hall Street.
