The Church of the Assumption of Mary was consecrated in 1969. The building, constructed entirely of concrete, fresh plaster, and light wood, is the work of architects Guerino Belussi of Oberwil and Raymond Tschudin of Basel. The Goetheaneum in Dornach is a monumental, listed building made of exposed concrete, designed by Rudolf Steiner, the founder of anthroposophy. It serves as the headquarters and conference venue of the General Anthroposophical Society and the School of Spiritual Science, as well as a festival hall. The view from the Dornach hill on which it stands is fantastic.
