Great place to ride. It's on my doorstep but definitely worth visiting no matter how far you are away.

Bacon Baps and a Brew at the Naafi Cafe was superb. Nice cakes too!

lower cliff trail at cannock chase is fun and fast

The Sherbrook Valley is a beautiful place, with a mixture of woodland, open heathland and the Sher Brook. There are walking and cycling trails that follow the valley on both sides of the brook.

The blue trail at Cannock is called Perry's Trail. It's fun and perfect for developing your riding skills without any features that require drops or jumps. Features on this trail include flowing single track and gentle berms, rollers, gradual climbs and rollable rock gardens.

This is an awfully steep hill and a total nightmare if it's muddy. Recommended, for those who like a challenge.

The Heritage trail starts in Rugeley and finishes in Hednesford. This section runs from Western Springs rd to Slitting mill rd where the trail crosses into Cannock chase forest. The trail starts off with asphalt at the Rugeley end an turns to smooth gravel. Does get wet and muddy in the winter months.

Some of the best gravel riding in the Midlands. Is to be found at Cannock Chase. There are rides for all abilities.

As the name might suggest, this is a meaty climb on the red-rated The Dog trail. It's not technical, just straight up a fairly wide, gravelly track, but it'll certainly get the lungs going!
