You can visit here the ruins of Lyse Abbey. This historic site was a Cistercian monastery founded in the 12th century. Have a break from your ride to explore the remaining stone walls and have a glimpse into medieval monastic life.

Norway's National Cycle Route 1, also known as The Coastal Route, passes through the town of Osøyro. This stretch connects with Stend on a quiet road with scenic fjord views.

New cycleway with good pavement. It's also seperate from the mainroad so you can enjoy a more quiet way.

Very nice view to the snow-capped mountains in the hinterland
