The pizza alone is worth a stop! I had the "Interrail" pizza with ham, rocket, parmesan and olive oil for 200 krone. It was huge. I can only recommend it.

Nice harbour town with several cafes and shops to resupply on the road

Very nice cafe, I can highly recommend it. Not only are the homemade pizzas very good, but there are books to read and games to play in case the weather is bad and you have to spend a longer time there :-)

Either you come over the old railroad bridge, or down into the valley, the stop at Hølen is worthwhile. Enjoying the river and good food is a good reason for the stop.

Nice place for a coffee

Son has a nice harbor with cafes and restaurants. Ideal for taking a break.

Son harbour and waterfront is ideal as a cycling destination as well. A good 120 km ride back and forth from Oslo. Nice place to take a rest for lunch.

The Viking Hall, is a reconstruction of one of the Viking Age's large halls. Entering Åsgårdsstrand from the South, the world renowned painter Edward Munch´s home town. Beautiful white wooden houses, great seascapes, beaches and cafes for travellers.

There are restaurants, a supermarket on Sundays and a nice harbor where you can sit in the sun and enjoy the day or the end of the tour. In good weather but very crowded.

Just before the harbor of Åsgårdstrand, the route follows the waterfront. From here you can see all the way to the other shore of Oslofjord and observe numerous boats and ships.
