Sande is a town situated on the western side of the Drammensfjord, part of the larger Oslofjord. The town centre offers shops and services, making it a practical stop for supplies or a break. There is a railway station which can be used as a useful connection point for bike rides.

Cycling on an old railroad track from Holmestrand to Drammen all the way along the fjord. Very beautiful trip.

Holmestrand is a nice stop-over along the coastline south of Oslo. Nice harbour with a park and hotel. However, if you have time for a small detour, both Horten and Åsgårdstrand have more to offer.
