I recommend the Strand Camping site a few meters away, right next to River Camping. It's a bit more spacious and the owners are very friendly. You can walk through the bush down to the river.

Unfortunately, if you're camping you'll be stuck between the mobile homes, but it's nice for a little bit of civilized luxury. The prices are fair in comparison. Good to know: There are two supermarkets 1 km further north!

The modern Northern Lights Cathedral was only completed in 2013 and inaugurated by Crown Princess Mette Marit. It is a concrete building clad with titanium plates. The interior is made of solid oak and was designed by a Danish artist. There is also a lot of information about the Northern Lights in the cathedral.
