The small chapel was built in 1696 (Baroque period) on the grounds of the former castle. Originally, it was dedicated to Saint Ulrich, later to Mary.

The Plague Tower is located on the corner of the Oberdorf street and the alleyway toward Hochberg. The tower was erected to commemorate the plague of that time. The tower is not accessible. A flag commemorating this event is located next to the tower.

There are two rest areas at the base of the tower. From the tower's observation platform, you can enjoy the view of the Lauchert River and the small biotope. There are also several information panels on the platform.

Around 1640, the entire upper village died out as a result of a plague epidemic, up to the canal bridge. In today's village, "s'Glöckle" nestles against the towering rock in memory of the plague.
