Great area to do

Plenty of water sports to enjoy all around. Several cycling trails for all levels and bikes.

The Belfry of Thuin is the historic belfry of the Walloon city of Thuin, once one of the good cities of the Prince-Bishopric of Liège. This civic tower, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, was once the tower of the (former) collegiate church. Between Chimay and Thuin, the RAVeL L109 runs along a superb cycle path along a former railway line. The route is bordered by forests and meadows. You'll cycle far from cars, through the Hainaut countryside.

pretty square with bakery, butcher and very friendly, efficient and affordable café restaurant...a nice stop before continuing to Sarpoterie.

Superb path, very pleasant

As of April 25: There's a restroom but no seating. No fireplace or firewood. Fires are prohibited. Given the lack of seating, I don't think the village youth meet here at the moment. Overall, a very quiet overnight spot.
