Starting point for a beautiful hike through Lembeke

The forest paths around Kaprijke are narrow, winding paths that meander through the forest. As you walk along the forest paths, you will pass small streams, open spaces in the forest and quiet corners where you are often alone.

This beautiful path through the Lembeekse Bossen offers an adventurous MTB experience with winding single tracks, sandy sections and roots that provide an extra challenge. The forest is densely overgrown and lets sunlight fall alternately through the trees, which creates an atmospheric rhythm of light and shadow.

レンベークの森の端にあるこの礼拝堂は、1947年にヴァン・ゴーセム神父によって建てられました。レンベークが戦争の惨禍を免れたため、甘い慰めと平和の聖母に捧げられました。礼拝堂は、15のレンガ造りの小さな礼拝堂が巡る通路に囲まれています。礼拝堂の向かいには、ドイツの掩体の残骸の上に建てられた小さな聖母マリアの洞窟があります。

This chapel was founded in 1949 out of gratitude of the Lembeek population for being spared from war violence during the Second World War. The main chapel is surrounded by a corridor of fifteen brick chapels, originally with plaster statues, now with rosary scenes painted on metal plates.
