Remains of an old medieval castle, estimated to have been built in the 10th century and destroyed in the 16th century. It is also known as the Castle of the Four Sons of Aymon (Chateau des 4 Fils Aymon). Privately owned by the lords who now live below in the new castle. From the ruins on the cliff, you have one of the most beautiful views of the Amblève River below, between Aywaille and Comblain.

In the 13th century, Durbuy was part of a defensive structure in the north of the County of Luxembourg. The Château de Durbuy, or Durbuy Castle, is fairly centrally located in Durbuy. The current castle dates from the seventeenth century and was built on the ruins of the former castle. The castle is privately owned and is not open to the public. It is one of the few castles in the Ardennes that cannot be visited or rented at all. The castle is located on the banks of the Ourthe. Because of its height, you would think that you would have the best view of Durbuy if you were standing in the castle, but the best view is actually from the higher viewpoint of Durbuy: the Belvédère. Unfortunately, you can only enjoy this panorama when the Durbuy tourist train is running around. This train takes you to the Belvédère lookout tower, where you can enjoy a spectacular view of Durbuy and the Ourthe valley.
