At the end of Germaniastrasse we come to Ungererstrasse. Here we turn right, cross it after a few metres and drive back a little until we reach Münchner Freiheit. If we drive straight on, we reach the starting point of our tour. Ungererstrasse leads from Münchner Freiheit to the Ungererbad, the Nordfriedhof and the student town in the north of Schwabing. The Church of the Redeemer at its southern end is striking. It is the oldest Protestant parish church in Schwabing and was built between 1899 and 1901 according to plans by the architect Theodor Fischer in the Art Nouveau and historicist style. With its tower, it defines the cityscape of Münchner Freiheit.

The English Garden is really recommended because there are so many different areas. The southern area is more crowded, and in summer you will find sun worshippers there. The northern part is quieter and more natural. There is something for everyone 😉

Speichersee and the Mittlerer Isar Kanal. If you drive a little further along the northern Speichersee road, you might be surprised by the engine noises coming from the BMW test track in Aschheim.
