Not steep, but make sure you drink something in warm weather. At the top is a nice village with people who can also speak English.

The village of Montecatini Val di Cecina is located among the picturesque hills of Valdicecina, a few kilometers from the historic city of Volterra. Anciently known as Monte Leone (Castrum Montis Leonis), this place has a long history of territorial disputes between the cities of Pisa and Volterra, before becoming part of the possessions of Florence in 1472. The history of Montecatini is closely linked to the nearby copper mines of Caporciano, which have a thousand-year history, dating back to the Etruscan era, and which remained active until the early twentieth century.

This panoramic road that runs continuously up and down between Casaglia and La Sterza allows you to enjoy the hilly panorama all around. The smooth asphalt makes it a very pleasant rollercoaster for bikes.
