From the village of Cavarzano, in the municipality of Vernio, this path starts at Alpe di Cavarzano, a pleasant, green and panoramic place.

Small building located just before reaching the bridge over the Rio La Nosa, which connects the road that comes from Fabio with the village of Savignano. The margone is still visible. It is a former hydraulic mill, now converted into a residence, already present at least since the mid-seventeenth century.

Ancient medieval bridge that crosses the Bisenzio and allows the passage from the SRT 325 to the mule track that goes up to Rocca Cerbaia and Montecuccoli. Characteristic is the cypress tree that grew directly on a pylon of the bridge.

The trail from the beech tree, which is no longer there, gets lost in the woods. By bike it is best to continue along the forest road, without turning left, and climb up the ridge ahead.
