The Nesse Valley Cycle Route begins in Erfurt, where the Nesse River rises in Alach, and ends in Eisenach. This beautiful cycle route runs partly along an old railway embankment. A total of approximately 70 km along the Nesse River.

This church in Siebleben has existed since the 14th century. Its current form dates back to 1827.

Built in 1729 in the Baroque style, it was primarily used as a hunting lodge and guesthouse in the 18th century, and an English landscaped garden with a lake was created around the castle. Today, the castle is privately owned and houses several residential units. The fenced castle garden is open to the public only for special occasions.

The Nesseltal Cycle Path runs, among other things, along a former railway line between Eisenach and Nessetal, then continues towards Erfurt, offering a particularly pleasant and well-developed route. Largely paved, with gentle inclines and plenty of natural surroundings, it's perfect for leisurely cyclists, families, and touring cyclists. Along the way, there are numerous beautiful views and small villages that invite you to take a break.
