This picturesque little town south of 17 Mile Dr is a sight in itself. Beautiful wooden houses, numerous art galleries, and the hometown of several Hollywood stars. Clint Eastwood even served as mayor of this small town of approximately 4,000 residents.

This is what camping along the coast is all about! Great views and easy access to the shoreline. The camp hosts are very helpful and can usually get you in to one of the first-come, first-served sites if you don't have a reservation. Official viewpoint of the famous Rocky Creek Bridge. It is worth pulling off the road and making the short trip to the viewing platform to take in the wonderful views.

The Rocky Creek Bridge is a beautiful reinforced‑concrete, open‑spandrel arch bridge finished in 1932. The bridge is one of the highlights along the Pacific Coast Highway.

It is a nice cabin, clean, quiet. No food options except breakfast of hard boiled eggs, breads and juices.

This packed dirt road climbs steadily up the valley, with partial shade from trees by the creek. You pass under the train tracks and get a great view of the trestle.

This is a beautiful stretch through the canyon. It's not uncommon to encounter other hikers, runners, cyclists and cows!

Unfortunately not such a scenic ride as expected. The road closure is quite far from the landslide and is not visible. 13. August 24 a US cyclist ignored all warnings and tried to cross, fell down the landslide and had to be rescued by helicopter. Arrested and fine.
