Beautiful lakes for picnics or relaxing. The only drawback is that it's always crowded during the summer months.

Starting from Cantoniera del San Marco towards the Pescegallo lake and from there climbing directly to Monte Ponteranica you walk in a wild environment and interesting passages. Treading snow for an hour like yesterday then even better!!

The Lakes of Ponteranica are located in a basin semi-surrounded by the three peaks of Mount Ponteranica, Mount Valletto and Mount Triomen. The first lake is shaped like a horseshoe and is surrounded by some small satellites. Just above is the second lake, which has the shape of a bird.
