Named after an officer, Chief of the General Staff of the 2nd Garibaldi Division, which operated in this area. While on a mission to establish contact with the Allies in France, he was captured by the Germans on August 18, 1944, and taken to Sanremo, where he was tortured for several days and finally executed on September 10, 1944, at the age of 22. from Arma di Taggia. The stone block bears the names of those killed during the Resistance era (1943-45).

During the three days of July, the village of Mulini di Triora was plundered and burned by German soldiers as part of a reprisal. Most of the inhabitants managed to escape to the surrounding forests and villages. Thirteen people, including a 16-year-old girl, were locked in a house and burned alive. The village was almost completely destroyed.
