After leaving the beautiful Lake Mis behind, the gorge narrows and the road gains a little height, passing through successive galleries and tunnels dug directly into the rock. It's a wonderful place that rivals the Sottoguda Gorge on the climb to Marmolada.

It is also called Bus de la S'cesòra (notch): it is a cut in the rock, which proceeds between rocky walls that almost touch each other. This gorge was carved by a subglacial torrent, about 15 thousand years ago. A landslide diverted the torrent that left the gorge, carving out a new path parallel to the original one: in fact the Ardo flows 150 meters lower

The Soffia Waterfall is a natural wonder. The roaring waterfall is approximately 12 meters high and roars between the rocks and rocky roofs of a deep, winding gorge carved by the Soffia stream. A path makes this area easily accessible.

Once out of the Canyons, go up slightly until you reach a crossroads: follow the signs for Rifugio VII Alpini

Highly recommended! I rode the route from the south towards the Dolomites on my racing bike. The reservoir shines a wonderful light green in the sunshine between the wooded slopes and the mountains. At the northern end you go through tunnels and the mountain stream that forms the inflow comes out. Good road conditions. Little and quiet traffic. I don't know how far you can drive by car or motorbike. The tunnels are definitely quite narrow. A must for cyclists, even racing bikes!

The Mis Valley is located in the Belluno Dolomites and connects Valbelluna to the province of Trento. In the lower part of the valley, crossed by the homonymous stream, there is a picturesque artificial lake with crystalline waters.
